I pay the rent doing freelance web development, hosting, and administration work, mostly with ASA Information Management, a small group of partners strewn across the globe. My resume does a fair job of laying out my work background and capabilities.

I'm an advocate of Free Software and the Creative Commons. Wherever possible, I use and develop on share alike/free-as-in-you/intellectual commons platforms, largely because I can't afford anything less, and, well, they let me. I currently recommend Ubuntu GNU/Linux, a Debian-based distro aimed at the desktop user, to anyone curious about getting some freedom from their computer's Operating System.

I have attended Burning Man in 1999 and 2001-2006. I've found many great, meaningful relationships there, and I participate in many local BM-inspired events in the Victoria and Vancouver communities. It's a ton of fun, and the people I go with always make it worthwhile.
